As announced by Google in a blogpost on the 21st of May this year, the search engine company is making the optimization score for Google Ads even more useful by offering new recommendations to make the campaigns perform better.
The optimization score helps the Google Ads users in prioritizing the recommended actions for their campaigns so that they can achieve their business goals faster freeing up more time for other tasks.
Ranging from 0% to 100%, 100% optimization score means the account can perform at its full potential. Advertisers can achieve an optimization score of 100% by applying or dismissing the recommendations in their account. As far as the optimization score is concerned, users can find it on the Recommendation page, shown in the image given below:
The relevant features that are helpful in increasing the overall performance of the campaigns are highlighted on the recommendations page.
The new recommendations added by Google to its Ads optimization score include:
- Smart Bidding suggestions shared by Target ROAS and Target Impression to help the advertisers in reaching their goals by bidding more efficiently
- Bid adjustment recommendations for Affinity audiences, demographics, and In-market audiences
- Suggestion on raising budgets for upcoming traffic increases shared by Seasonal budget recommendations to avoid missing out on potential customers
