Google Lets Advertisers Endorse YouTube Live Streams as Display Ads

Google is rolling out a new ad format that will allow marketers to promote YouTube Live Streams as Display Ads.

Live stream ads can be seen anywhere on the web page just like you see Google’s display ads.

Viewers of the ads can expand the video to full screen and just like they interact on YouTube they would be able to interact with the live stream ads.

Below is an example of how a live stream ad looks like:

Since, Google is not charging anything for Live streaming on YouTube, advertisers will only require to pay for the ad unit.

As of now, the new live stream ad format is in a limited beta. Moreover, there is no information available on how Google will charge advertisers for these ads.

Perhaps, the information will be available when the ad format rolls out more extensively.

In an effort to make ads more interactive and immersive, Google has introduced other ad formats as well this week.

In our previous news article (Google Launches Interactive Ads with 3D Objects) itself; we talked about Google launching a new display ad format called Swirl that will allow users to interact with 3D objects.
