Google Rolls Out a New Performance Planner for Google Ads

Search giant google is launching a new tool as a Performance Planner for Google Ads that will help advertisers in planning the ad spend. According to Google, advertisers will be able to drive up to 43% more conversions on average with the help of this new tool. The key focus of the new tool is on driving incremental conversions that it does by recognizing the best spend amounts for the ad campaigns.

Talking about the new tool Ahmad Ismail, a Google Ads Product Manager, said:

“For example, let’s say you have a $92,000 monthly budget across 100 Search campaigns. The planner will recommend how to distribute that $92,000 across those Search campaigns to maximize conversions and project results from these changes in your forecast.”

The new tool can also create projections on the basis of other adjustments like different spend levels and CPAs.

What advertisers need to do is click on different spend points and it will show them the resulting changes in conversions. For instance, advertisers will be able to see the difference between conversions at a $12 CPA and a $20 CPA respectively.

Advertisers will also be able to get a campaign-level view of their accounts by zooming out them through performance planner. Here, they can find out how much they are spending on each campaign and can also distribute spend to different campaigns. They can even add keywords for getting a projection of how they will influence the performance.

As revealed by the search engine company, they have added a new educative article explaining how they have engineered performance Planner for providing the most accurate forecasts possible.

“Performance Planner takes into account billions of search queries, and is usually updated every 24 hours. Performance Planner then simulates relevant ad auctions in aggregate, including variables like seasonality, competitor activity, landing page, etc. It then forecasts conversions based on the conversion types in the “Conversions” column of your Google Ads performance reports.”

One of the most important fact about this planner tool is that the changes that you make within the tool will not get automatically implemented and that to execute the changes you need to download a file and employ the Google Ads Manager.
