According to a recent report the monthly active users for Facebook has grown 18% year-over-year to reach 2.38 billion in the first quarter this year of which the number of people using Facebook Stories daily has reached a mark of 500 million.
As told by the social media giant in its earnings statement, the number of daily active users for the platform has exhibited the same rate of growth.
“Daily active users (DAU) – DAUs were 1.56 billion on average for March 2019, an increase of 8% year-over-year, “the statement added
“In addition, we estimate that more than 2.1 billion people now use Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or Messanger (our “Family” of services) every day on average, and around 2.7 billionpeople use atleast one of our Family of services each month,” Facebook added.
As reported by The Verge on Wednesday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed on a call with investors after the company’s first quarter earnings report that Facebook Stories has hit 500 million daily users.
Facebook Stories had already hit a mark of 300 million daily users back in September, revealed the report.
