To celebrate its 15th Birthday, the search giant has rolled out some new effective features like scheduling of emails, smart composer getting smarter & so on. Here are the four main updates Google has made to its emailing service.
Smart compose has become smarter now
The Gmail’s smart compose feature has become more efficient now. “For example, if you prefer to greet your teams with friendly, “hey team,” it can help you stay true to your voice. It can even suggest a subject line based on the body of the message you’ve written,” explained Google in an official blog post.
Now users can schedule the delivery of emails
Gmail users will now be able to write an email in advance and can schedule a date for sending the email to the recipient afterwards. The scheduled email will automatically be sent at the scheduled time without any human intervention. “WE want to make it easier to respect everyone’s digital well-being, so we’re adding a new feature to Gmail that allows you to choose when an email should be sent,” said Google
Actionable Inbox
Taking action on emails has been made simpler for users for instance users can easily respond to a comment thread in Google docs, fill out a questionnaire, or schedule a meeting right from within the email itself. “This makes it easier to stay focused on the task at hand since you won’t have to open a new tab or leave your inbox,” said Google.
